We are pleased to announce that the Provo City School nurses will be offering CPR/First Aid and Stop the Bleed certification sessions this summer. These sessions are vital for emergency preparedness and will equip you with the necessary skills to respond effectively in critical situations.
It’s required that at least three people at the school be CPR/First Aid Certified. The certification costs $15.00. Some schools will pay for their staff to become certified. Please check with your supervisor before attending the pass-off session to see if the cost will be covered.
The certification lasts two years. if you were certified in 2023, your certification is still valid.
June 5th and 6th 2024
Professional Development Center at the District Office
You will need to view all the course content on your own. This takes approximately 4 1/2 hours.
Please ensure that you attend one of these sessions to maintain your certification or obtain new certification if you have not done so previously. Your participation is crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and visitors.
Space is limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.
For more information and links to the training videos, please see the attached document.
Thank you for your commitment to the safety and well-being of our school community. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact Heather Chatwin, heatherc@provo.edu
If you are unable to attend one of the CPR/First Aid Courses from the school nurses, there are a few community courses available. Here is some information and associated costs for these classes.
