Sorenson Legacy Awards

The USBE Fine Arts team is pleased to announce that nominations for the 2023 Sorenson Legacy Awards for Excellence in Arts Education are now being accepted. Nomination deadline: January 20, 2023.

Let’s honor our remarkable Provo City School District arts educators and administrators by nominating them for these prestigious Sorenson Legacy Awards.

Each winner receives an artistic award for display, along with a cash award of $2500, with an additional $2500 awarded to the recipient’s school/district for the purpose of supporting the arts program. The winners will also be honored at a banquet in March.

• Elementary Dance Instruction Secondary Dance Instruction
• Elementary Drama Instruction Secondary Drama Instruction
• Elementary Music Instruction Secondary Music Instruction
• Elementary Visual Arts Instruction Secondary Visual Arts Instruction
• Elementary Arts integration Exemplary Arts Education Administration
• Exemplary Arts Program or Initiative in a School/District
