Join a CPR/AED/First Aid and Stop the Bleed Training offered by PCSD registered nurses.

Have you ever considered learning CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed skills to become a valuable first responder during emergencies at school or within our community? If so, now is your golden opportunity!

The Provo City School District nurses are excited to announce certification courses for the American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid and Stop the Bleed Training.  This certification, valid for two years, equips you with essential life-saving skills.

Training Details

  • Certification: American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid and Stop the Bleed Training
  • Certification Duration: 2 years
  • Cost: $15.00 (Some schools may cover this cost for their staff, please verify with your school)
  • Requirement: At least three individuals at each school and each employee in the Transportation department must be certified in CPR & First Aid
  • Recommendation: Certification is encouraged for all school staff, especially members of our Medical Emergency Response Teams and those working with medically fragile students.
  • Preparation: Before the 1 ½ hour skills pass-off session, you will need to view the training content videos. They take approximately 4 1/2 hours to complete, and you do not need to watch them all at once; you can watch them at your convenience.

Training Session Details

  • Dates: October 4th 2024, December 6th 2024, February 7th 2025, and April 11th 2025
  • Times: 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • Class size: All sessions are limited to 24 people
  • Location: All sessions will be held at the Professional Development Center (PDC) at the District Office, 280 West 940 North Provo
