Statement concerning validity and Reliability of RISE test
Members of the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) voted to terminate the 10-year, $44 million contract Thursday June 6, 2019.
As part of the vote, the board directed education staffers to seek a short-term contract with another assessment provider that can administer tests for next school year, according to a news release from the Board of Education.
The short-term provider selected by the USBE is American Institutes for Research (AIR). AIR was given a 3 year contract starting school year 2019-20. This is the same platform that use to provide the state’s SAGE test. AIR will only provide a platform for the state’s RISE test.
