#1 Infraction-Classroom Disruption Tips

In most of our Student Success Meetings and according to data we review from Educator’s Handbook  CLASSROOM DISRUPTIONS are the #1 infraction occurring in our schools at this time. Here are some additional tips from pbisworld.com:

TIER 1: *Acknowledge, praise, and reward positive behavior before correcting inappropriate behavior. *Use your classroom management system to reward/consequence *Frequent home contact *Praise when on task *Teacher/student conference *Use precision commands *Take a break *Teach conflict resolution skills (restorative practices) *Teach coping skills   *Teach social skills *Use a calm neutral tone

TIER 2 & 3 *Ask for an appointment at your school’s Student Success Team meeting and complete a referral form to provide essential data to assist the team in assisting the student.
