Welcome Back Employees for the 2023-2024 School Year

Dear Provo City School District,

Welcome back! The 2023-2024 school year is fast approaching! I apologize for the delay in getting this information to all of you, but I appreciate your patience as I have transitioned into this new role. Our Cabinet has been busy preparing for the start of the school year so that we can provide the support that our schools need. As I have been meeting with administrative teams at our schools, I look forward to supporting each of you as you engage in the important work of educating our students.

I believe that teachers need to have ample time in their classrooms prior to the start of school. You do so much to create welcoming spaces for our students, and supporting each of you so that you are ready for your students is of utmost importance to our Cabinet. I have listed the schedule for back-to-school expectations below. Your principal should also communicate with you about meetings and professional learning. Our goal is to ensure that principals can direct the professional learning for their faculties in alignment with our priorities as a district. We have worked to simplify the initiatives and focus to ensure greater success.
