They will share inspiration and also practical applications around multilingual literature access, strategies for engaging parents and caregivers, and a research-based framework called “The Family Sparks” to organize your year ahead. They are all leaders of Dewey, an innovative program and resource that transforms the landscape of family engagement. Pam is an author of many books for parents, teachers, and education leaders on learning, literacy, and strengths-based education. Annabell and Hiba are multilingual leaders of Dewey and leaders in the work around centering the strengths of families in building the strengths of children and teens. Attend this session to learn:

• How to transform the narrative of newcomers in our districts with a fresh framework of approach
• How to empower culturally responsive leadership among families and caregivers themselves with a plan of action
