Sora Bridging the Reading Gap and How it Works

At Provo City School District we have broadened the resources of library books for our students through Overdrive’s, Sora App. Sora is digital and audio books that can be accessed from any student’s Chromebook or personal device.

Sora has digital books available for students that are in any Dual Language Immersion program in the language they are studying.

For students in grades 3-12 participating in “Battle of the Books” or “Name That Book” we have most all of the titles either in audio or eBook format through Sora.

We also have more books available through our local library under Beehive Library Consortium.

Take the time to check this free resource out!

• Down load or click on the Sora App on any device or Chromebook.
• Register under student or employee Google account.
• Choose Provo City School District as your school.
• Click on the green box by “Add a library” for additional libraries like “Utah Dual Language Immersion” and “Beehive Library Consortium”

Browse the books and borrow the ones you want.

If you want certain books in a certain language, click on the “Utah Dual Language Immersion” box and the click on your “Preferences” and then click next to “Language” and select the language you want. All the books available in that language will be available for your selection. To go back to another language, repeat the same steps.
