Secondary ELA Webinar Series

USBE offers a monthly webinar series for secondary ELA teachers to learn best practices for supporting students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking through evidence-based instructional practices and implementation of the new Utah ELA standards. January’s webinar is called “Developing Deep Knowledge with Complex Texts and Tasks” and will be presented by Dr. Naomi Watkins from USBE. The webinar will be on January 17 from 4-5 PM; those who cannot attend live will receive a webinar recording. Teachers have the option to receive 0.5 USBE credits by watching the webinars and completing a Canvas course.
