We have some fantastic news to share, related to your medical benefits! Starting September 2023, Provo City School District will be changing medical insurance to offer a much broader network for contracted employees and their dependents. We believe this is an exciting development that will help enhance the overall options for your health.
Our new insurance network will be enhanced, with over 98% of current providers covered by the new plan. In addition, many more providers will be added, allowing for an increased range of options. This means that you will have more choices regarding your medical care and can select the providers that best meet your needs.
We know that insurance is an important part of your compensation package, and we want to reassure you that the new insurance plan will look and feel the same from the employee’s standpoint. You can expect the same high-quality coverage and benefits that you have come to expect from us.
Provo City School District is moving to a self-insured model, meaning, we will take on more of the financial risk of providing insurance coverage. This is a positive development for the district, and we are confident that it will lead to even better coverage and benefits for you.
