Join Davis School District in this STEM learning activity.

Davis School District is excited to partner with NASA and Microsoft Hacking STEM to bring you the Day of Data, where your students can explore how data powers our astronauts, our space missions, and our world.

Celebrate the Day of Data in Davis with a live speaker event, student-led lesson plans, and virtual data experiences. Teachers will have access to a student-guided lesson sequence for the day that is for either 8-12 years old or 10-15 years old. There are no materials required, just a computer and their brains. We are really hoping that as many students of those age groups as possible engage in the Day of Data with us. You can have students run the lessons any time of day and the Day of Data resource is a self-paced student experience. This is 100% optional and will be great!

As part of the day, your students can also join a MICROSOFT Live event to listen to NASA astronauts and rocket scientists. Classrooms can join them on November 18th at 11:00 AM Mountain Standard Time where they will discuss how they use data and the impact that data has had on their job. Speakers will share their personal stories and answer questions from the audience at these MICROSOFT Live Events.

All the resources are free for the ‘Day of Data’, for more information visit the Microsoft Educator Center (MEC). You will simply guide your students to dive into the immersive NASA-inspired data experiences in Excel.

Let us know you are participating by signing up. This is optional.
