Filmmaking in the Classroom

This PD opportunity is ideal for teachers who want to add video content to their curriculum or want to engage students in hands-on filmmaking projects in the classroom.

The PD is also approved for 1.0 USBE Credit, 15 Relicensure Hours or credits toward the EdTech or Media Arts Endorsement!

Below are the details of the PD and the upcoming dates in Spring and Summer 2024. Please let me know if you have any questions, and we hope to see many of your educators in our cohorts this summer.

Option 1

• What: Free in-person Professional Development for Teachers Grades 4-12
• Topic: Filmmaking in the Classroom
• When:
  1. June 20-21, 2024 from 9am-4pm daily at the Utah Film Center offices in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  2. August 1-2, 2024 from 9am-4pm daily at the Utah Film Center offices in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Option 2

• What: Free online, self-paced Professional Development for Teachers Grades 4-12
• Topic: Filmmaking in the Classroom
• When: February 6 – May 17, 2024.
• Location: via Teachable
