On October 7, 2021 the Utah State Board of Education approved to release the draft of the revised Elementary Social Studies Standards for grades K-6 for 90 days of public comment. We would like to invite you to provide feedback by responding to the Elementary Social Studies draft standards using this link:
Public input is an essential part of the standards process, allowing an opportunity for stakeholders to provide useful feedback. The public comment period of 90 days will conclude on January 16, 2022. Thank you for your time and for exercising your civic duty by providing comment.
Three public hearings will be held across Utah this winter. Upon approval by the Board in November, the dates and locations will be shared and posted. Public hearings are another opportunity to give feedback directly to USBE staff on recommendations you may have related to the draft standards.
