Have you ever wondered what does effective STEM instruction entail? How to support it in your school? What to look for when observing STEM instruction?

If you have, this engaging professional learning opportunity is for you!

We are excited to announce a summer Elementary Administrator’s STEM Institute. During this two-day institute in beautiful southern Utah, you will collaborate with colleagues as you explore effective science, mathematics and engineering. In other words, STEM instruction in the classroom and beyond its walls.

Objectives of the institute:

  • Experience the elements of effective instruction in science, engineering, and mathematics
  • Know and identify tenets of effective tier 1 instruction
  • Explore ways to evaluate instruction
  • Reflect and consider how the instructional practices of your school align with pedagogy in science, engineering, and mathematics

Logistics

Place: Cedar City

Dates: June 26-27, 2024

Times:

  • Day 1: 11:00 am -11:30 pm
  • Day 2: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Free to attend.

Professional Learning Experience Includes:

  1. Hotel for June 26 (If over 50 miles from school to Cedar Breaks National Monument)
  2. Lunch and dinner on Day 1
  3. Breakfast provided by hotel on Day 2
  4. Lunch on Day 2
  5. Books and materials to support effective STEM instruction
