If you have previously earned an endorsement from the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) in English as a second language (ESL), elementary mathematics, reading 1, gifted and talented, elementary STEM, or education technology, you have an opportunity to gain 9 earned credit hours toward a Masters of Education degree at UVU. 

Application Deadline

  • Application Opens Oct 9 
  • Priority Deadline: Jan 26
  • Application Deadline: Mar 22.

Admission Requirements

  • Verification of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Verification of the USBE endorsement in one of the accepted content areas listed above
  • A cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or a GPA of 3.0 for the last 60 credits of university coursework
  • Three professional letters of recommendation
  • A successful interview with the School of Education Graduate Committee
  • Submission of complete graduation application

Continuance and Graduation Requirements

  • Complete all program hours (30)
  • Complete all courses with a grade of B- or higher
  • Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Successfully complete a graduate project that is accepted by the School of Education Graduate Committee
  • Complete courses and project requirements within five years
