District World Languages Committee Meeting Summary

DWLC October 16 meeting summary

Update on purchases and deliveries of curriculum for each World language (purchased with T&L funds):

• French & Spanish are ready – teachers can come pick up their curriculum at the District office or it will be delivered to their school after Fall break
• German has just arrived and is being prepared. Teachers will be notified by email once the curriculum can be picked up
• Chinese has almost all arrived. Teachers will be notified by email once the curriculum can be picked up
• ASL is online only and is rolling

An update on purchases that require school approval that come from a budget other than T&L was discussed.

Work on Curriculum Notebooks began by brainstorming on the needs to be included in the general section that applies to all languages.
