District World Language Committee Meeting Report

On Monday, September 20, 2021, the DWLC met and we discussed the following:

• Meeting dates and compensation for members of the committee
• World language and DLI state news (AAPPL testing window, USBE websites, Bridge, ACTFL virtual conference, International DLI Conference, UFLA Conference, WL Core Standards)
• Purpose of the DWLC
• District Policy 4020
• District Procedure 4020 P1
• Question was asked about funds for the DLI program. Clay Bingham is going to find out what funds provided by the state are available for the different languages
• 3 members were not in attendance: Jamila Hubbard (ASL – Provo High), Robert Hagedorn (Chinese – Dixon) and Carolina Lima (Portuguese – Dixon)
