We are thrilled to announce a valuable opportunity for our dedicated school staff to become certified in life-saving skills. The Provo City School District nurses are offering certification for the American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid and Stop the Bleed Training.

Certification Details:

Training: American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid and Stop the Bleed Training

Cost: $15.00 (Please check with your school to confirm if the cost will be covered.)

We understand that many schools generously cover this cost for their staff members, but it’s essential to verify with your school administration before attending the training session.

Who Should Get Certified:

Mandatory: At least three people at each school are required to be certified in CPR & First Aid.

Recommended: We strongly encourage certification for all school staff, especially those who are members of our Medical Emergency Response Teams and those who work with medically fragile students.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to gain critical life-saving skills that can make a difference in our schools. By ensuring that our staff members are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed techniques, we are better prepared to create a safe and supportive learning environment for our students, staff and visitors.

Training Schedule:

Participants will view the training material prior to attending an in-person skills pass off. Skills pass-offs are offered on December 8th 2023 at 2:30 pm located at the Professional Development Center (PDC), February 9th 2024 at 2:30 pm located at the Professional Development Center, and April 12th 2024 at 2:30pm located at the Professional Development Center.

Thank you for your dedication to the well-being of our students and staff. We look forward to your participation in this essential training.
