Competency-Based ESL Endorsement

The Provo City School District Department of Title I and Title III is now offering a competency-based ESL Endorsement for all interested teachers. Participants will complete courses in Canvas to demonstrate competency in the five Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) domains: language acquisition; cultural diversity; planning and implementing instruction; assessment and evaluation; and professionalism and leadership. Courses are self-paced; it is anticipated that the full endorsement will take approximately two years to complete. Courses will be open beginning on September 1.
