The Utah STEM Action Center is once again providing the following grant opportunities. Applications are due by September 30th. Please add Suzy Cox (suzyc@provo.edu) as a collaborator on your grant so she can provide the required district signature.
The STEM Competition Grant is designed to support Utah students, grades K-12, participating in STEM competitions throughout the state and replaces the previous Fairs, Camp, and Competitions Grant. This grant is available for Utah educators and administrators to apply for funding to improve student understanding and learning experiences in the subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
This grant is a great source of funding for school STEM Fairs, robotics competitions, Math and Science Olympiad, and more.
The PreK-12 Classroom grant expands opportunities for idea-sharing and innovation. Utah educators and administrators at Utah public schools can implement innovative new approaches to STEM experiences in their classroom, with their findings being shared at STEM conferences and awards events. We have funded hundreds of classroom grants over the years, impacting tens of thousands of students. These projects should focus on classroom-level instruction that is unique to the needs of the students.
This grant can be used for STEM-related project materials, student-facing technology, and field trip costs.
