This year, professional development will be offered on four, full days:

  • August 10
  • October 24
  • January 16
  • April 9

Each contracted and licensed employee (i.e. teachers, principals, counselors, social workers) will choose an afternoon class (1:15-3:15). There are three categories for these afternoon sessions:

  1. Courses: These are four-session classes that will be held on all PD days. Participants will attend all four sessions in the year. Participation, including a 10 hour classroom application project, will allow participants to receive both lane change and relicensure credit.
  2. Lecture Series: These are single session presentations. If an educator chooses this option, he/she will register for a new class for each of the four dates. There are a large variety of offerings in this category. Relicensure credit is available to these participants.
  3. Book Study: These are four-session classes that will be held on all PD days. Participants will attend all four sessions. Books will be sent via district mail to your school. Participation, including a 10 hour classroom application project, will allow participants to receive both lane change and relicensure credit.

Please register for your Course, Book Club, or Lecture as soon as possible; at the latest, register by Tuesday, August 8 at 5:00 PM. Please do not sign up for a class until you have reviewed all options, as it is difficult to unregister. Your timely registration ensures we have enough space and materials for each class. To register, you will need to select the link following each option on the menu webpage. If you have trouble registering, please contact Renae Deighton at renaed@provo.edu or 801-374-4852.

To read about and register for courses, go to the Professional Development Page on this website.

You will register by clicking on the “Register for this course” by the description on the webpage. This will open a Qualtrics survey allowing you to register.

We look forward to a great year of professional learning.
