Here are our upcoming professional learning offerings facilitated by assessment including Pathways of Progress.
DIBELS refresher training will be held on August 30th at the Capitol. This training is for anyone new or needing a refresher on how to administer the DIBELS probes. It is done paper pencil. If you are interested in this training, please email Heather Gross at heather.gross@schools.utah.gov for more details and/or to register.
As promised, we will be offering 11 regional trainings to continue to develop educator understanding of the power of DIBELS newest feature, Pathways of Progress. The trainings will be offered throughout the state during the months of August and September. The dates and general locations for the trainings are:

The registration link for the three sessions in August are below. All sessions are from 9-3 and participants will be asked to bring a laptop or other device so they can get in and use their own data if it is available at the time of their training. This will be a great opportunity for teachers, administrators, and district leaders to learn more about how to harness the great power that Pathways of Progress can provide. Heather Gross, heather.gross@schools.utah.gov, is in charge of organizing these events, so if you have questions, please contact her for the most accurate information. Come and learn some best practice instructional techniques to inform your students of the appropriate ways to use textual evidence without excessive copying. You will learn strategies to help all students elaborate effectively, how to better differentiate instruction, and how to incorporate accommodations into your classroom. This workshop will provide guidance in using Utah Compose and the SAGE Writing Benchmarks for formative writing instruction.
