Green Our Planet has 12 Hydroponics systems that need to find homes in elementary schools! Green Our Planet is an organization that supports school gardens and school hydroponics systems across the country.
There is NO COST to schools that are selected to participate, thanks to a grant made available to Utah schools from Western Alliance Bank, Green our Planet, and the STEM Action Center. Green Our Planet’s STEM Hydroponics Programs can be used to teach lessons in STEM, Health and Nutrition, Conservation, Financial Literacy, and more.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While applying for the grant on Green Our Planet’s website, you will only see information about the Green Our Planet grant that covers $8,000 of the $10,000 program cost. Once we select 12 elementary schools, those 12 schools will receive an additional $2,000 grant from Western Alliance. This will cover the full $10,000 needed for the program. There is no extra process required to qualify for the additional $2,000. If you apply for the Green Our Planet grant, you will automatically be applying for the $2,000 Western Alliance grant.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Gina Muhlestein at gmuhlestein@utah.gov.
