This month, we are focusing on celebrating our Education Support Professionals. Twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, we are recognizing different groups that fall under the Educational Support Professional title and today we are featuring our custodians!
Our custodians work, day and night, to ensure that our facilities are spotless and prepared for the school day. Custodians make it possible for our students to better focus on their education through ensuring that they have clean facilities to learn in. Not only this, but our custodians help our teachers and staff with little daily cleaning tasks that help them to better perform their jobs.
Jeanne Pratt, head custodian at Wasatch Elementary, said, “my job is never boring. I love being around the little kids, even the sixth graders. They treat me kindly. I have children that, literally, every single day thank me. I can have a bad start to my day or something and pass one of these children in the hall and they say ‘thank you Mrs. Pratt for keeping our school safe and clean’. It just makes it worth it coming the next day”.
Thank you to all of our amazing custodians. We are so grateful for you and all of the work you do to ensure our district buildings are safe and clean!
