The Provo City School District nurses are offering CPR, AED and First Aid classes this summer. New this year, Stop the Bleed training will be offered in conjunction with our CPR Classes.
The American Heart Association course lasts 4 ½ hours and includes a 2-year certification for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid. The cost is $15.00 and many schools cover this cost for their staff. Please check with your school before you come to be sure the cost will be covered.
It is required that at least three people at each school be certified in CPR & First Aid. However, certification is recommended for all school staff, especially those who work with medically fragile students.
Stop the Bleed training takes one hour and is free. Training is recommended for all school staff. Participants will learn proper bleeding control techniques, including how to use their hands, dressings and tourniquets.
If you were certified in CPR last summer (2018), your certification is still current. However, if you would like to receive the Stop the Bleed training, sign up below.
All classes will be held at Provo Peaks Elementary 665 East Center Street.
To register for CPR and Stop the Bleed, complete both registration links. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to complete required paperwork.
