The five-year contract for the ICAC Internet Safety Program expired and so we were required to send out a new RFP. We had several very qualified applicants. The applicant that won the bid for the state contract is Digital Respons-Ability.

Digital Respons-Ability is a local Utah company that works closely with K-12 students, parents, and educators to teach digital citizenship, the ethical and responsible use of technology. They have partnered with Prevent Child Abuse Utah in order to provide trainings throughout the entire state of Utah.

Digital Respons-Ability is committed to educating and informing individuals to become empowered digital citizens in small classroom-based sequential workshops. Digital Respons-Ability uses a prevention science approach to build social and emotional learning skills that can protect young people from unhealthy digital behaviors. They use an evidence-based approach to this important topic and their research and strategies have been recently published through Rowman & Littlefield in Digital Citizenship: Teaching Strategies and Practice from the Field.
