Elementary teachers, it is time for our Fall 2022 Instructional Materials Review. We have received a variety of science curriculum items from publishers and are excited to begin the evaluation process. This is a great opportunity to give your input on the usefulness of instructional materials provided by publishers for the classroom.
All reviews will be completed remotely from home by collaborative teams of two or more reviewers. Each participant in the review team will receive $50 per item reviewed. It is estimated that a team may complete work on a single item in about 1 hour.
Instructional Materials Review Application 2022. We hope you will be able to participate with us. Your expertise is valued.
Registration closes August 31, 2022.
We are excited to announce a new professional learning opportunity that supports effective science instruction, Instructional Coaches Academy: Science.
This professional learning series is for instructional coaches, team leads, administrators, or others who support educators of science education in any grade K-12. Applicants may form a team to apply or apply as a single and be assigned to a collaborative team. Each session, participants will experience and explore different research-based tenets of effective science instruction. Then, participants observe and coach teachers on these tenets during the month.
Each team (3-7 people) formed by applicants should include one administrator (elementary grades this is required, secondary grades this is highly encouraged). The administrator’s role is to support instructional coaches, team leads, or others on their team as they work with educators to increase the effectiveness of science instruction in the classroom. An administrator will be provided for the team of singles.
