Do you know where to look at your paystub? September 15th is the first paycheck of the school year and we request you review this first check to ensure there are no mistakes!! After this paycheck, it will be too late to make any adjustments to your medical, dental, vision, FSA benefits. Please pay special attention to each of the following:

  • Is your pay correct?
  • Are your deductions correct?
  • If there is a mistake please contact:
  • Liz or Maria in Payroll for errors on Pay
  • Erika or Cat for errors on Leaves and Benefits Deductions

Now that Provo City School District has completed Open Enrollment and submitted your finalized elections for the 2022-23 plan year, the question always comes up, “Can I make any changes during the plan year?” The answer is yes, but only under specific circumstances called Qualifying Life Events. The following hints should help you know if you or your dependents qualify to make changes outside of the open enrollment dates. What qualifies as a life event:

  • Loss of health coverage through parent or spouse
  • Changes in household status- birth, marriage or divorce
  • Changes in residence to a new zip code or county

What you can change:

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Health Savings account contribution amounts can be changed anytime during the year

To make these changes, login to your benefits portal, and click on the “Life Event” tab or contact Benefits at erikaha@provo.edu or catherinem@provo.edu. Supporting documents will be required- marriage certificate, loss of credible coverage letter, etc.
