New Benefit Plan Year Reminders

Provo City School District has provided your Open Enrollment elections to our carriers. Our new benefit plan year begins on September 1st. Please see below for some best practices to ensure that you and your family members have the coverage you need in place for the upcoming year.

If you did not make any changes to your medical plans, please do not throw away your ID card. This year, SelectHealth only issued new cards if you made a change to your plan. If you have misplaced your card, you can order a new card through your MyHealth portal, or by calling SelectHealth’s Member Services Team at 801-442-5038. Please do not discard your Flexible Spending or HSA debit cards unless the card has expired. Funds will be loaded on to your existing card. Please check your paystub to ensure that you are being deducted for the benefits you intended to elect at Open Enrollment. If there’s an error, we have a very small time frame where we can fix the error with the carrier. If you notice a mistake, please contact Benefits or Payroll immediately.

As September draws near, remember that the first half of your wellness program starts on September 1st. Watch for more information on health screening events and flu shot clinics.
