The new SEEd (science and engineering) standards for K-5 and 9-12 will be adopted this summer.
The students will complete an end-of-year assessment on the current standards in the spring of 2020. Please keep in mind that next year’s assessments will be reported even though we will be in the process of transitioning to the new standards. The new SEEd standards will be assessed in the spring of 2021.
This gives educators one year to become familiar with the SEEd standards and be ready to fully implement in 2020-2021. The Teaching and Learning Department will offer STEM/SEEd training in June for grades K-5 with additional training for all grades throughout the next school year.
