Our District was well represented by teachers from Westridge Elementary School at the Utah Science Teachers Association Conference.

The fourth grade team shared information on making connections with the local community. Attendees saw how a problem based learning unit on the water cycle was supported by local experts in the city water resources department.

In a different session, the fifth grade team shared a description of a problem based learning unit on matter and physical changes with help from The Mighty Baker, a local business owner.

Our thanks goes out to Mark Nance, Kimberly Sessions, Meghan Parker, Alison Fuller, and Megan Jenkins for their great work.
