Number Talks Workshop Series (Grades 4-6 Math)

Come learn ways to increase your students’ ability to think creatively and flexibly with numbers! Doing regular Number Talks with your students will help increase their number sense, creativity, student discourse, academic vocabulary, perseverance when problem solving, and love of mathematics.

We will be reading the books Making Number Talks Matter, and Digging Deeper: Making Number Talks Matter Even More by Cathy Humphreys and Ruth Parker.

You could earn a $500 stipend from the STEM Action Center if you complete all the course work over our 6 class meetings.

Classes will be held on the following days: 

• November 9
• December 7
• January 25
• February 8
• February 22
• March 8

Each meeting will be from 4:00 to 5:00.
