Did you know that there are two types of Flexible Spending Accounts?

  • Health FSA – The purpose of a Health FSA is to pay for medical, dental, and vision expenses that your insurance does not cover. The full balance of the election is available to you at the beginning of the plan year, September 1, 2022.
  • Dependent Care FSA -The purpose of Dependent Care is to reimburse yourself for daycare or preschool tuition for dependents 12 years of age or younger. The money is available for reimbursement after each payday.

Both accounts have a one time election for the year and are deducted from your monthly paycheck, pre-tax. Use caution when you elect an amount as these accounts are “use or lose” by the end of the plan year, August 31, 2023.

These plans are not transferable, so if you have made a mistake in your election, please notify the Benefits office prior to September 25, 2022. This will be the only time we can make an adjustment.
