First Grade Teacher Training

First grade teachers and elementary principals will meet on Friday, Oct. 5 to begin work with our district’s Early Literacy Plan.

First grade students’ reading achievement is the topic of one of our goals and we will be working with Dr. Jan Dole, an early literacy professor at the University of Utah and author of Wonders, to meet our first grade reading goal.

We’ll meet from 8:00 – 4:00 at the GLC-Grandview Learning Center. Principals will arrive at about 10:15, after a Chamber of Commerce meeting they need to attend.

Please note: DLI target language teachers do not need to attend this training.

First grade teachers: Please bring a copy of your Wonders Unit 2 Teacher Edition to this training.
