Engineering and Technology Week at UVU

This field trip opportunity is available for students in Grades 5-12. Registration is available by going to the UVU website or by contacting Dr. Krista. She can be reached at: Kruggles@uvu.edu and 801-863-8057.Register as soon as possible, space is filling up fast.

During the visit, secondary students will:

• Tour College of Engineering and Technology labs at UVU and have lunch.
• Visit UVU student projects and participate in fun hands-on projects sponsored by CET @ UVU.
• Receive scholarships for your school projects, individually or in teams, judged by the UVU faculty.
• Receive gifts and awards for your winning projects, or just for visiting UVU

Participating student projects from middle and high schools should meet the following criteria:

• Problem Statement: What problem is the project trying to solve?
• Approach to Solving the Problem: What approach using Technology/Engineering mindset is used to solve the problem?
• Implementation: Demonstrate that the project works and solves the problem.
• Presentation: 2-3 slides stating the problem statement, approach to problem solution, and demonstration of the working project.

Elementary students can visit on February 20.
