The DWLC met on Monday, February 28, 2022 and each language shared the results after assessing the World Language Curriculum Notebook. The committee identified the needs to improve the curriculum notebook.
At the DLC meeting on February 28th, elementary teacher representatives continued the work of the curriculum review cycle. We reviewed and refined a rubric that would be used to create the Request for Proposal (RFP) for K-6 ELA curriculum. The main 6 areas of the rubric include 1) Alignment to the Utah Core ELA standards 2) ELA Content and Emphasis 3) Access for all Students, 4) Pacing and Program Design 5) Assessment 6) Digital Resources/Tools. The committee voted unanimously on the rubric and to move forward to the next step (RFP).
The DSC met on Feb 28th. They worked on specific supply lists for each of the elementary grades k-5, tied to the storylines available for each standard.
