2021 Constitution Week Conference “Unpacking the Court: Considering Article III”

UVU invites you to bring your students to our campus to attend the September 17th High School Outreach Day of our 2021 Constitution Week Conference entitled “Unpacking the Court: Considering Article III.” The attached flyer has schedule details. We have grants available to cover the costs of attendance (buses, substitute teachers, etc.). The short grant application form is due by September 1st.

There will be two sessions with lunch provided in between them. The first session will cover the origins of Article III, the development of the structure of the Supreme Court, and FDR’s court packing controversy of 1937. The second session will apply lessons learned from history to current questions about court reform. Presenters will include leading scholars in the field of court structure and court reform.
