Description of ARKive

ARKive is a not-for-profit initiative of the charity Wildscreen, and is a tool for conservation, education and public awareness. ARKive is a platform to discover endangered animals, plants and fungi - reveal what they look like, what makes them special and why we should protect them. ARKive is a digital record of species that the public are most likely to see or read about, representing them in audio-visual form. Species, habitats and key conservation issues are set within the context of living landscapes that people can go out and discover.
